More details are gradually starting to be released concerning the Magellan/ MiTAC deal, shedding a bit more light on exactly what this might mean for the future of the Magellan brand and product lines.

On Monday, December 15th, Magellan Navigation announced that it is selling its consumer products division to MiTAC International, which also owns Mio. The deal is expected to close mid-January. The Magellan consumer products division is the creator of the Magellan RoadMate, Maestro and Triton product lines.
